In case you have more than one monitor available, multiscreen gaming might be a thing for you! Especially in simulations like the new Microsoft Flight Simulator or in racing like Forza Horizon 4 you will benefit from using more than one monitor. Testing various setups lead to the conclusion that 3 monitors work best.

What else do you need, apart from multiple monitors. This tutorial revolves around NVidia GPUs, so you better have one. In addition to that you need a halfway recent driver that includes the NVidia Control Panel.

You will launch it and look for "Configure Surround, PhysX" in the 3D-Settings. You need to tick the box that says "Span displays with Surround" and hit Configure. You Then have to choose a topology, meaning how many screens you want to merge. After choosing either 1x2, 1x3 or even more, you need to select a resolution.

All resolutions that are supported are shown. Select the one that suits you the most. If you have 3 Full HD monitors like me, 5760x1080 is the way to go. The same goes for the Refresh Rate. Go as high as you can, depending on your monitors and whether they support it.
Then Hit "Enable Surround" and let NVidia Control Panel work its magic.

Now you're all set up and can fire up a game. Make sure to change the resolution in game when it's not done automatically.
