Establishing Stronger Roots | Regenerating Buxton's Woodlands

How many of us are lucky enough to have beautiful woods at the edges of our towns to enjoy? How much though have you ever put into what goes into managing and maintaining these 'natural' spaces?
In the Peak District town of Buxton we are lucky to have an abundance of woodlands surrounding us. But these woods are in need of regeneration if we want people to be able to enjoy them in years to come. I spent time documenting this process of regeneration currently underway as part of the 'Stronger Roots' project.

The Stronger Roots project is funded by the Government's Green Recovery Challenge Fund. The fund was developed by DEFRA and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England, the Environment Agency and Forestry Commission.
