How to walk from Buxton to Goyt Valley | Peak District, UK

What is the best circular hike you can do from Buxton? There are certainly plenty of great options that you can do but I believe that this loop to the Goyt Valley and back is up there with the best of them.

I set out for an early evening hike to do the 8.5 mile loop (9 miles if you start from Buxton Town centre). The walk offers fantastic varies scenery including open moorland, tranquil reservoirs, ancient woodland and historic roads. If you want to do the route yourself, I have left a route map down below.
