गोलकोंडा फोर्ट - वह किला जिसने दुनिया को दिए कोहिनूर जैसे कई बेशकीमती हीरे | Golconda Fort Full Tour Vlog

Hello and welcome to my travel vlog! In this episode, I'm going to take a journey to the magnificent Golconda Fort, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad city. This historic fort is over 1,100 years old and is built on a granite hill, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Golconda Fort is famous for giving the world some of its most magnificent and big-sized diamonds, including the Kohinoor or Koh-e-Noor diamond. It was once the capital of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and played a vital role in the history of Hyderabad.

To explore this iconic landmark, I was accompanied by my cousin Mohit, and we reached there by local bus from Afzalganj in the morning. After buying entry tickets, we entered through the Bala Hisar Gate and discovered the fort's unique security feature, the acoustic system, which allowed guards to communicate with each other across long distances.

We then saw the weight of 250 kg, which was used to test the strength of bodyguards and soldiers in ancient times. Interestingly, Bollywood actor Salman Khan tried to lift it during the filming of two of his movies but couldn't!

As we walked around the fort, we visited Nageena Bazzar, which was once a bustling market for diamonds, precious stones, and jewelry. We also explored the area around the office of two ministers of the Kuli Qutub dynasty, Akkanna and Madanna, where we saw the three-story armory of Golconda fort.

To reach the top part of the fort, there are three ways, and we chose to take the public route. After climbing some stairs, we saw the first water tank of Golconda fort, and there are three more water tanks on the fort premises. We visited all four water tanks and then reached Ramdas's jail, where the ruler kept his treasurer Ramdas captive for 12 years. The story behind this captivity is fascinating, and you'll have to watch the entire vlog to learn more.

Next, we visited the Ibrahim mosque and an ancient temple of the goddess Kaali before reaching the highest part of Golconda Fort, known as Deewan-E-Aam and Deewan-E-Khaas. This building was used for special meetings and public gatherings, and the rooftop has a Darbar, offering incredible views of the Army Area, the palaces of royal dancers Premamati and Taramati, and the Rani Mahal, where kings and queens used to reside.

We reached Rani Mahal through the stairs of Guest's Way, used only by royals and their guests. Though it wasn't in great shape, visiting it was still a unique experience. The history and architecture of this iconic landmark will leave you spellbound.

I hope you enjoyed this journey with us to Golconda Fort. Don't forget to watch the entire vlog to learn more about the fort's fascinating history and its unique features.
