5. Paladin
I played a lot of paladin back in the day, and I gotta tell you, when I respecced to protection, I had such a blast and I wish I would’ve tried it sooner. You are incredibly tanky, and the feeling of dying but then getting a big chunk of your HP back instead of dying is unparalleled. It makes you feel truly protected by the holy light that even when you should die you don’t. Don’t get me wrong about Ret either -- The playstyle is also fun – not too complicated, but not as boring as just spamming shadowbolt. There’s only like 4 or 5 abilities honestly for Ret – Crusader Strike, Seal, Judgement, Divine Storm, maybe cleanse as needed and have an aura up. So if you like simple, but not too simple, it’s nice. I mean I love simple playstyles for sure.
Ret New Talent:
Divine Storm: An instant weapon attack that causes 110% weapon damage to up to 4 enemies within 8 yards. The divine Storm heals up to 3 party or raid members totally 25% of the damage caused.
Baseline spells:
Divine Plea: You gain 25% of your total mana over 15 sec, but the amount healed by your Flash of Light, Holy Light, and Holy Shock spells is reduced by 50%.
Sacred Shield: Each time the target takes damage they gain a Sacred Shield, absorbing 500 damage and increasing the paladin's chance to critically hit with Flash of Light by 50% for up to 6 sec. They cannot gain this effect more than once every 6 sec. Lasts 30 sec. This spell cannot be on more than one target at any one time.
Shield of Righteousness: Slam the target with your shield, causing Holy damage based on your block value plus an additional 390.
Holy New Talent:
Beacon of Light: The target becomes a beacon of light to all members of your party or raid within 60 yards. Any heals you cast on party or raid members will also heal the beacon for 100% of the amount healed. Only 1 target can be the beacon at a time.
Prot New Talent:
Hammer of the Righteous: Hammer the current target and up to 2 additional nearby targets, causing 4 times your main hand damage per second as holy damage.
Really depends on the patch, Paladins received so many nerfs throughout WotLK and being at the last balance patch for classic means we miss a lot of the fun times of being overpowered, but still a great fun class to play.
People love the class fantasy
It’s amazing in PvE and PvP, and it’s not overly complicated.
Flexible Playstyle – Healer tank or dps
4. Druid
If you like having a high skill ceiling and always room for improvement then feral is a ton of fun. I love the feeling that I’m not held back by the class I’m playing and that if I try to get better then I will do better. That’s why Feral Druid is so fun – you can always get better. With the incredible amount of abilities available to a feral druid, the skill cap is nearly limitless.
