Sony MZ-E900 Fixing a Noisy Sled Motor and Read Issues

The Sony MZ-E900 (late 2001) a slim, compact MiniDisc device that was one of the world's first portable MDLP-capable portable players.

Many people still love how small they are and they sound great.

This one never played discs - it just kept spinning. Not only that, it sounded horrible! It sounded like sand or gravel was in one of the motors and I think it was the sled motor since I heard it while the sled moved from the far side to the center while attempting to read a disc.

I opened it up, cleaned it up, and added some lube to the sled's motor.
