Pop-up Twister Mechanism Variations

A few of my #popupexperiments from last year around the « #twister » mechanism:

00:00 1) A simple version of the basic mechanism.
00:14 2) Glued only partly, with one additional fold on the base. It gives off a different vibe and movement.
00:25 3) A variant with a thin horizontal valley. (All faces are eventually supports for additional pieces.)
00:35 4) Two intertwined twister tops on the same base. Very cool!
00:50 5) A vertical folded ring (one of the least impressive, but the one with the most possibilities, I love that one - and I used it in my Calligrammes Animés pop-up book    • Calligrammes Animes Pop-up Book  ).
01:02 6) A weird, very large infinity-ish design.
01:14 7) Twin roofs on twin twisters.
01:29 8) And a variant of 7: Twin Eyes! I love that one too!

It’s always fun and interesting to fiddle around basic structures. I have several dozens of additional variations on the twister, it’s just a few here, hoping to use some of them in my future projects! Cheers!
