Anatomical Position and Planes || Bsc nursing students ||

Human anatomical terms make up a distinct nomenclature to describe areas of the body, to provide orientation when describing parts of the human anatomy, and to distinguish different movements of the body. An understanding of these terms is necessary to study the human body in depth.

Two branches of science - anatomy and physiology - provide the foundation for understanding the body's part and function.

Anamotical Positions :- n anatomical position, the subject stands erect facing the observer, with the head level and the eyes facing directly forward.
The feet are flat on the floor and directed forward, the upper limbs are at the sides with the palms turned forward.

Anatomical Planes :- Plane are the imaginary flat surface that parts through the body parts.
