FACTS ABOUT DON DOLINDO:

Father Dolindo did not have the stigmata. He did, however, have scars on both his hands from operations when he was 11 months old. When someone noticed the scars and inquired about them, Father Dolindo himself writes in his autobiography: "He observed the scars on my hands but I quickly informed him that they were not signs of stigmata, but scars from an operation."

Saint Pio held Don Dolindo in the highest regard, telling pilgrims from Naples who came to see him, "Why do you come to see me, when you have Don Dolindo in Naples?"

The day in which Padre Pio and Don Dolindo met each other in person, at San Giovanni Rotondo, Saint Pio told Don Dolindo that "the whole of Paradise is in your soul."
