家住南投埔里的阿海是消防員，太太瑀婕是護理師，阿海面對工作勇往直前，卻不太擅長處理家庭課題。
「有時候還會喜歡上班，坦白講，帶小孩對我好像比較難」


太太瑀婕下班後，主要照顧三個孩子、做家事，孩子們正值活潑好玩的年紀，她有時候無法管教，例如在事前說好的家事分工，拗不過孩子耍賴。


阿海上班一條龍，回到家就不一樣，瑀婕希望他多陪家人，不懂先生放假，為何還常跟弟兄應酬？但阿海說，打火工作也得靠消防隊弟兄間的默契，更要不時回敬、答謝民間團體的幫忙。


2023年消防人員工時改制，從原本的做2天休1天，改為做2休2。阿海在家的時間變多了，他意識到自己要拉近和孩子的距離，卻不太順利？11歲的大兒子即將進入省話的青春期，親子並肩坐在客廳，互動，卻發生在兩人的手機裡。
