Boulevardier Cocktail

A lovely cocktail for the fall/winter or chilly/rainy weather. The Boulevardier is a fantastic variation of the more popular and famous Negroni. This cocktail has been around for almost a hundred years and is a bit more sophisticated as it substitutes the gin for a bourbon (or rye) whiskey.

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey (use high proof if possible so it stands up to the dominant Campari flavor)
- 3/4 oz Campari
- 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
- Orange Peel as garnish

Directions

Combine all ingredients (except the garnish) in a mixing glass. Add lot of ice and stir for 15 seconds. Strain into a pre-chilled coupe and express the oils from an orange peel over top of the drink. Drop in the peel as garnish.
