In 2022, Rhyl Miniature Railway purchased 4-4-2 loco No 104 'Billie', which was built by Barnes of Rhyl c1922 for the Dreamland Miniature Railway in Margate.
The purchase of 'Billie' means that 5 of the 6 locos built by Barnes are now based on the Rhyl Miniature Railway, with 4 of them in running order. Restoration of 'Billie' was completed in summer 2023, and during the 'Everything Goes Gala' on Sat 23rd of September the loco was formally (re)named and launched into traffic on the railway for the first time.
