How to make the perfect Nigerian meat pie without an oven or a gas cooker.

Here’s the list of ingredients and the corresponding measurements:

For the dough:

500grms of all purpose flour

250grms salted butter(you can add 1 tsp of salt if you’re using unsalted butter)

Cold water( I can’t give you the precise amount to use, just add it in a little at a time )

For the meat pie filling:

3 medium size carrots

2 medium size Irish potato

250 grms of corned beef

Meat stock( it’s optional because you can use water instead alongside seasoning powder)

1 tsp curry powder

1 tsp dry thyme

For the slurry:

Three tbsps cornstarch or all purpose flour

Room temperature water
