Jock Brandis is a Dutch-born filmmaker, writer, inventor, and philanthropist renowned for his innovative contributions to global humanitarian efforts.

Initially working in the film industry as a lighting technician and cinematographer, Brandis transitioned into appropriate technology development after a life-changing trip to Mali, where he recognized the dire need for more efficient peanut shelling technology. This led to his invention of the "Universal Nut Sheller," a simple yet revolutionary device that drastically improved agricultural productivity for small farmers in developing countries.

Brandis co-founded the Full Belly Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating sustainable technologies to combat hunger and poverty worldwide.

Beyond his humanitarian work, he is a father, published author and a creative storyteller, blending his technical expertise with a passion for positive social impact.

Through his diverse talents, Brandis has left an enduring legacy in both the artistic and humanitarian spheres.
