OYAKO DON (Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl)
Takes about 20 minutes
Ingredients:
100 grams Chicken Thigh (bite sized pieces)
35 - 50 grams Thinly sliced Yellow Onion
2 Medium/Large Eggs
1/4 Teaspoon Sugar
60 ml Water
30 ml Mentsuyu (Noodle Soup Base)

Cooking:
Scramble the Eggs and set aside.
Place the Pan on the stove and add the
Onions, Mentsuyu, sugar and the chicken to the pan.
Turn on the stove top to Medium.
When ingredients start to simmer, turn the chicken/meat to the other side so it cooks evenly.
Add the Eggs to the pan, and cover for about a minute or less, just to get the eggs just cooked but still a bit runny.
Pour/put on top of a bowl of rice and serve with some Japanese Chili or Green Onions as a garnish.

Other popular Donburi options are:
Oyako Don = Chicken and Egg on Rice
Tanin Don = Pork and Egg on Rice
