This is just a small part of the first mvt, but, and I mean there is a but, you will see this on every orchestral audition as there is more than meets the eye. Some of the most difficult things to play are the rhythms, phrasing and breathing as these are all major challenges. Taking the low D, Eb, and E down an octave at the end is not recommended at a live audition. In an actual performance, sure take it down, then you can impress the other two tuba players in the audience. Although this horn is not really big enough to win an orchestral audition on, it would be nice to try as it does have a great sound and the pitch is really, really good.
