VIV RICHARDS 1982 - RARE FOOTAGE - BBC SPORTSNIGHT FEATURE - IAN BOTHAM, CLIVE LLOYD AND MANY MORE

Описание к видео VIV RICHARDS 1982 - RARE FOOTAGE - BBC SPORTSNIGHT FEATURE - IAN BOTHAM, CLIVE LLOYD AND MANY MORE

This clip is from the edition of Sportsnight broadcast on BBC One on Wed. 5th May 1982 (21:55 - 22:50). Description from the original listing:
"Introduced by Harry Carpenter....From Cricket: Viv Richards, West Indian test star, is probably the most devastating batsman ever to grace the English scene. As the County Championship gets under way today he is the subject of a special Sportsnight feature."
Recorded when he was 30 years of age, this feature includes scenes from Viv's home island of Antigua, with his parents discussing his early life; his career with Somerset and the West Indies; and interviews with Viv himself, Ian Botham, Clive Lloyd, Brian Rose and others.
The narrator and interviewer is Christopher Martin-Jenkins.
Note: the short silence near the end of the video (from 13:56 where Viv is running along the beach, until Harry Carpenter reappears) is because copyrighted music ("Daddy Cool" by Boney M) has been removed.
This is part of my personal collection of videos recorded to VHS tape.
