I am Mayomi, a married woman and mother of two children, living in a small village on a hill near the sea in Sri Lanka, a beautiful island. My house faces a river, and a small stream flows at the bottom of the property. Nearby, there is a natural pond adorned with small blue lilies. This is the most serene place near my home.🌴🌳🌊



In my spacious kitchen, made of clay, I cook food by hand using wood collected from the surroundings. The taste of food cooked in clay is extraordinary. We source water from a small well below the garden, and most ingredients for our kitchen come from our garden, providing natural flavors. Some of these include 🌾🌿🌿🌾 curry leaves,pandan,turmeric,giner,cinnamon . My parents planted fruit trees throughout the garden, offering mangoes, guavas, anoda, kabaranka, satapilla, pineapple, and passion fruit, which are always laden with fruit.🍌🍍🍈🥭🍅



From the little forest near the river, we gather plants needed for the house without using any chemicals.🏘️🌊



My current lifestyle blends traditional and modern elements, allowing you to experience the harmony of harvesting, cooking, and eating with nature as the foundation in my designs based on "Earthen kitchen". We prioritize naturalness and enjoy experimenting with new foods.🧱🏚️
