Message of the Gospel – 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ DIED for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was BURIED, and that he ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the scriptures:
THERE IS NO GOSPEL WITHOUT THE DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION

THE BODY OF JESUS
A Man of Sorrows – Isaiah 52/53
52:14, 53:2 – his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness. No beauty, no form or comeliness
53:3 – Despised, rejected, man of sorrows, filled with grief,
53:4 – He bore our diseases and pains
53:5 -7 – He was -------, yet, he did not open his mouth
Pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our iniquities
The chastening of our peace was upon Him
With His wounds we are healed.
53:8,9 – He was cut off from the land of the living; his grave with the wicked
53:10     It pleased the Lord to
Crush Him
To make Him sick
53:12 – He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Leviticus 4:2-6
Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a person sins [a]unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord in anything which ought not to be done, and does any of them, 3 if the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer to the Lord for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without blemish as a sin offering. 4 He shall bring the bull to the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and kill the bull before the Lord. 5 Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood and bring it to the tabernacle of meeting. 6 The priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood SEVEN TIMES before the Lord, in front of the veil of the sanctuary.

Jesus blood was shed 7 times.

Nailed his feet

. THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS

THE BLOOD OF JESUS
Hebrews 9:18-22
18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

JESUS BECAME

Numbers 21: 4-9 – The Fiery Serpents:
When the people complained The Lord send fiery serpents and MUCH people died. Then Moses asked God what to do ... The GOD said make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole. Moses made one with brass and set it on a pole. When a person who was bitten by the serpent looked at this brass serpent then he lived.
John 3:14 - Jesus must be lifted up
and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: (KJV)

What else did Jesus become? Lets study that next time …
