Why is India’s Budget 2024 causing so much outrage?
The budge hiked taxes on capital gains and real estate, and didn’t do much to improve the crumbling urban infrastructure. Urban taxpayers are understandably furious because they feel hard done by. Meanwhile, job creation schemes sound good on paper, but they seem unfeasible, while infrastructure spending heavily favors Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, leaving Indian Railways in the dust.
So were expectations met by this budget or was it one of the worst budgets ever? That’s what I attempt to answer in this video.
