Bremen in Winter - Warm and Cozy

Bremen is one of the many North European cities of the old Hanseatic League. Spanning from #Amsterdam in #TheNetherlands, along #Bremen in #Germany and #Visby in #Sweden to #Gdansk in #Poland.

With the harry potter like #Schnoor neighbourhood and the wonderful #Böttcherstrasse - with the red brick stunning architecture - to the gothic town hall and St Petri (Peter's) Cathedral: Bremen is a must visit. And during the winter it is every so much more magical.

The Bremen City Hall and the Bremen Roland (statue of a knight, symbolising freedom) are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Bremen is well known through the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale "Town Musicians of Bremen" (Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten), and there is a statue dedicated to it in front of the city hall.
