After the NYC shows at Webster Hall, we had two days off. Since all of us had families join us, each of the Botch guys took time to hang with family Sunday and Monday. Personally, my wife and I had a hotel in the Financial District of Manhattan and venture out to Xi'an Famous Foods, a lot of walking in Brooklyn and dinner at Eataly before she had to leave for her work week in Maine.

Monday afternoon, Dave K and I took the Amtrak from Moynihan Hall to Baltimore, a part of my trip I actually enjoyed. Few people outside of Botch would know this, but I'm balancing my busy full time job as an IT manager at REI with the time touring with Botch. That meant on this day in particular, I was working all day, including on the train.

We got to the bus in early evening outside a hotel in downtown Baltimore and met back up with the crew and Brian. We had a pretty suboptimal dinner at a seafood restaurant in Baltimore and settled in for the night.

The next day, Dave V flew down from JFK and met us at the club. The Soundstage definitely has a pretty shallow stage which made lights plus drums a bit challenging, you can tell in this video how tight it is. However, that always makes for a really fun show because all of us are so close together.

This show ended up being awesome. Burial Waves opened the evening and were powerful, dense and awesome. I think our set went well. I did add a little note towards the end of John Woo where I made a pretty uncharacteristic mistake! Shit happens, right?

Philly coming soon!
