Ken Gichoya, also known as Njoro from the popular show "Papa Shirandula" on Citizen TV, is a renowned actor. He was born in Kirinyaga but experienced frequent relocations due to his father's job as a banker.
Ken is happily married with three children, comprising two boys and one girl. An interesting fact about Njoro is that he became a father for the first time while still in high school, with his now-wife and mother visiting him during that time.

Njoro's journey into the world of comedy began at the Kenya National Theatre after initially trying his hand at being a tout. It was during his time at the Kenya National Theatre that he formed a close friendship with the late Charles Bukeko, better known as Papa Shirandula. This friendship proved pivotal, as Papa Shirandula recommended Kenneth for a role in his show, giving birth to the iconic character "Njoro."

Recently, Njoro has reflected on the significant role that the late Charles Bukeko played in his life. He mentioned that whenever he had issues with his wife, he would turn to Papa Shirandula for assistance, and Papa always came through, helping him resolve domestic matters. Njoro fondly recalls Papa as not just a friend but a true brother who was always there for him during challenging times.
