Описание к видео How to Check & Repair Xbox One Controller: Left Stick Replacement & Testing (Part1)

Welcome back to FixIt All Workshop! In this video, I’m diving into the repair of an Xbox One controller with a faulty left stick. Join me as I walk through the process of diagnosing, testing, and disassembling the controller to confirm the issue, and then attempt to replace the broken stick. Unfortunately, I ran into a snag when my replacement part didn’t fit, so I'll be waiting on the correct part to arrive and i will finish the repair in a follow-up video.

What You'll Learn:

Testing the left stick of an Xbox One controller to confirm the issue
Disassembling the controller and diagnosing the stick problem using an ohmmeter
Identifying why the left stick failed: wear on the carbon track from heavy use.
Attempting to replace the stick with a similar part and learning why it's important to get an exact match.
Prepping for the follow-up video once the new part arrives

Why This is Important:
If you’re experiencing drift or malfunctioning sticks on your Xbox One controller, this video will show you how to diagnose the issue and prepare for a full repair. Understanding how to test the stick's variable resistor and recognizing common failures, like worn-out carbon tracks, can save you time and money by allowing you to make repairs at home.

Tools & Materials Used:

Ohmmeter (for testing the stick)
Soldering iron and desoldering tools
Replacement analog stick (resistive-type)(on order)
