Brian Jones - A Memorial

Forty-seven years ago, Brian Jones left us. But It is the remarkable accomplishments of this extremely talented but troubled man that we need to focus on. His love of the blues helped to spawn a musical revival in Britain; one which soon spread around the world. Love him or hate him, we cannot deny that without him there would never have existed a band whose popularity has spanned over 50 years.

I have tried to create a video that focuses on the years that saw his steady decline both physically and mentally, but also that saw him produce some of the most innovative musical sounds that were, in a sense, many years ahead of the times. As such, the mood is a somber one. Regardless of personal feelings, I hope that people will pause a moment and remember just how much Brian Jones has contributed to the making and success of the Rolling Stones, as well as inspiring others to follow his musical journey.
