Odisha to Launch Kamadhenu Yojana // Nurses to Resume Work

The Odisha Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, gave its nod to seven different departmental proposals today.
Among the key decisions, the government will introduce the Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana (MKY) to strengthen Odisha’s dairy sector. Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan announced the approval of this initiative. The scheme will run for five years, from 2024-25 to 2028-29, with a total budget allocation of ₹1,423.47 crore. Its primary goal is to enhance milk production across the state and improve the livelihoods of 15,47,837 farmers.
In response to the ongoing strike by Odisha Government Nurses, Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling announced today that the nurses have assured they will return to work starting tomorrow morning. Earlier today, the Odisha Nursing Officer Association held discussions with the health minister at Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to address the strike situation. Following the meeting, the minister confirmed that the nurses have committed to resuming their duties. However, the Nurses Association stated that a final decision on whether to continue or end the strike will be made after consulting members from all districts. They plan to announce their decision later tonight.
