Vintage Sonor D500 5x14 Ferromanganese Snare Drum

Somewhere between a Supraphonic and a regular steel drum, this vintage Sonor sounds like your favorite classic 5x14 metal snares, but with more oomph. Airier than a regular steel drum, but stronger than a Supraphonic.

This drum was outfitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador on top with the original Sakae-branded Remo Hazy Ambassador and stock snare wires.

Kit is Ryan's 1981 Gretsch kit (it's not for sale, but I can tell you about it). 14x24, 10x14, 16x16, 18x18.
