A short video explaining how to use Triton's bar mixer fixings for built-in pipework for bar mixer showers.

If you've ever struggled to fit a bar mixer shower or a wall mounted bath shower mixer using standard fittings, you'll appreciate the alternative fittings that Triton offer to make installation easier.

There are two solutions for built-in pipework -- one is using our easy-fit fixing bracket and the other is using our push-on fittings.

Alternatively, we offer fittings for exposed pipework.

Here, we'll cover how to use the Triton push-on fittings for built-in pipework.

The beauty of this fitting is that it has push-fit connectors which make installation fast and simple.

Unlike other fittings, the design means there is no exposed thread between the trim and the mixer and there are no unsightly fixing screws.

If you're installing to a stud partition wall or similar it is recommended that the brackets are secured to a wooden batten inside the wall.

Complete the pipework to the bracket mounting points, leaving around 60mm of pipe to protrude out of the wall.

Flush the pipework to clear the system of debris and check for leaks before making good the walls.

Push each pipe into the wall until it stops. Measure 29mm from the face of the finished wall, mark and cut the pipe.

Press a push-fit connector onto each pipe until the pipe reaches the stop inside the connector.

Screw the mounting plate onto the connectors until it reaches the stop.

Align the fixing holes to the intended position and mark the holes.

Remove the mounting plate and drill the wall.

Re-fit the mounting plate onto the push-fit connector and fix it in place with the screws provided.

Insert the grub screw into the mounting plate and tighten to lock the connector.

Using a suitable sealant, seal the join between the mounting plate and the tiles to prevent water entering the wall.

Push-fit the cover trims onto the mounting plates.

The filters supplied in the box must be fitted. The flow restrictors that are also supplied only need to be fitted on high-pressure systems.

Push-fit the seals into the outlets.

Now fit any of Triton's bar mixers by simply tightening the flat face unions on the valve to the connectors.

If this bracket isn't right for you then why not take a look at our other videos showing our easy fit fixing bracket or our fittings for exposed pipe work.
