The “basic principle” stipulates that association funds are to be applied in accordance with the terms on which they are held:
(1) Contract-holding theory: Money applied in accordance with the association’s rules
(2) Charitable/Re Denley trust: Money applied to charitable/non-charitable purpose(s)
