Vision Metron 55SL through-axle FRONT HUB overhaul and bearing choice

Описание к видео Vision Metron 55SL through-axle FRONT HUB overhaul and bearing choice

I ride 2020 Merida Reacto bicycle with a Vision Metron 55SL factory wheel set. The bike has clocked 16 thousand kilometers (or 10 thousand miles). Recently, the front hub has been making noise and asking for some service. Sadly, there is not much supporting documentation on these Vision hubs. In this video we look what is inside the hub, how to access the bearings, how to take the hub apart and assemble it back. The hub uses a pair of 17287 bearings. Also referred as 17x28x7mm or 28x17x7mm. Original Vision bearing reference is MR219. We also consider what bearings to choose if you can't get the original.
