Dennis makes his way to Wilmington, DE for the Hagley Car Show to check out a fine selection of classics, including a 20's Replica Racer, a Steyr Puch Haflinger (?), a Tight 57 Caddy, a TVR 2500M, and a '64 Alpha Romeo. Backdropped against the powder yards in Brandywine Valley, the beautiful setting of the Hagley Car Show attracts as much beauty as it gives off.

Built on a '29 Ford Chassis, this Replica Racer evokes the harrowing days of racing's past. Sporting period speed equipment, it started life as a 4 door sedan. The restoration took the "fun" route, and one hand formed boat-tail speedster body later it's ready for a vintage race day.
Originally designed for the Austrian Army, and with a name bigger than the car itself, the Steyr Puch Haflinger was imported into the states in 71-72. Pretty much all business, there's not much there including safety standards. A wild little work truck, it will go anywhere, just not very fast.
Paying respect to the elders, this 1918 Caddy is all original, with the "fat-man" steering wheel option. With the jump seats it's a 7 passenger touring car great for the family.
The '74 TVR is a fiberglass bodied car powered by a Triumph, with some Ford parts thrown in the mix as well. Weighing in at 2,200 pounds. it's a bit of a lightweight screamer. A bit of a tight car too. All the better to hold you into the corners.
Finishing out the fine day, the '64 Alpha Romeo almost has some Fiat lines of that era, but's definitely Alpha Romeo with that distinctive grill. Clad in an unlikely all black, this one still manages to stand out in it's "ground-up" restoration. What a beautiful little rocket.

With it's beautiful drive in, and the destination being filled with auto history from all around, the Hagley Show is one not to miss!
