Add Auto Headlights & DRLs to Your Ford PIU or Explorer

Описание к видео Add Auto Headlights & DRLs to Your Ford PIU or Explorer

This is a fun upgrade for your Ford Police Interceptor Utility (or base Explorer) that may not have come with automatic headlights. The vehicle in the video is a 2016 FPIU, but this basic approach will apply to many Ford vehicles (Taurus, Edge, F150, etc.) made since around 2010. You may need different parts for your vehicle, so double check before ordering parts from the links below. For example, a 2013 Explorer will need the same sun load sensor as the 2016 in the video, but it will need a different headlight switch because the 2013 and 2016 Explorers had different size connectors on the back of the switch.

Also, in the video I show installing a headlight switch with a fog light button on a FPIU that does not have fog lights. I recommend you do NOT pay for the fog light button unless you are certain you will need it because I now must press the fog light button to turn on my interior lights. My harness is apparently not prepared for the extra button. The link below is for the switch that I wish I would have purchased. You're welcome. ;)
