This film shows all the primary locations around Oakworth, Howarth and Oxenhope that were used in the 1970 blockbuster movie "The Railway Children" Directed by Lionel Jeffries and staring Jenny Agutter the film is still a favourite with both young and old.
The video visits the following locations.

1 Bents House, Oxenhope. The house used as the Yorkshire home for the railway children.
2 The stone style at the rear of Bents House where Mr Perks had trouble lifting the hamper over.
3 Mytholmes tunnel Howarth where the children would sit on the fence and wave at the passing trains.It also shows the Oakworth side of the tunnel where the landslide and paper chase was filmed together with the section of track used to film the red petticoat train stop scene.
4. Bronte parsonage museum, Howarth. Home of the Bronte sisters and used in the film as Dr Forest's home.
5.The house below the Bronte parsonage museum used as the Post Office and general store.
6. The tourist information center, Howarth used as the butchers shop.
7. Number 2 Lodge Street, Howarth used as the cobblers shop.
8. Vale Fold Cottages, Oakworth used in the paper chase scene.
9. Oakworth Station, the main station featured in the film
10. Railway Cottage, Oakworth. Used as Mr Perks home.
11. The road bridge at Ebor Lane, Howarth where the film was concluded
