Dramatic End to a Promising Race⏐金唐 100cc⏐PCHK Go-Kart Cup Final 決賽

For the first half of the race, due to the fatigue i wasn't pushing too hard. For Lap 4 to 7 at T11 to T12 i didnt even do neutral steering, i was just forcing the front end to turn, because i was too tired to push and was saving energy for the second half of the race.

And things get little bit more trickier in Lap 8 to Lap 12, couple of good battles and led changes. Eventually i picked the right moment to attack, got myself the lead of the race, and that's when i started to push flat out as i had the clean air to do so.

After several laps, i basically lost count of laps already, i was just driving as fast as i could, lapping car as efficient as i could. But this time the lapped car lost his car in an unusual way. In normal situation an oversteer can be recovered in straight pretty quickly, which i thought that was the case, and because of that, i expected that, passing the lapped car within the normal racing line is a rather safe approach, so i kept on doing what i've planned in my head.

Unfortunately, that WAS NOT the case, he totally lost it and the kart was driving toward me, and inevitably we crashed, and the impact was so big that i lost control as well. Result in an engine failure, i needed a mechanic to re-start the engine for me. And of course, that means i lost the race win on the last lap with just less than half way to go. (Without knowing as well, i didnt know it was last lap until i passed the start finish line, as you can see my reaction was pretty shocked lol)

Quite speechless honestly, cuz it could very well be my first win in my first ever race event. Hate to suck it, but it is what it is. Atleast i felt more confident in my driving and my racecraft, looking forward to the next one, hope i can continue my confidence onto my future races :)
