In this interview, Arshan sat down with Dave Blunts in LA on his birthday to dive into the bigger picture behind Dave’s recent virality – beyond just his outrageous lyrics –uncovering the very real journey that Dave has trekked to get where he’s at today. Dave came from very humble midwestern beginnings, growing up in Section 8 housing in Iowa where he and his mother battled poverty among other challenges. Despite all of the odds being stacked against him, at the age of 18, Dave stumbled across his love for making music and decided to embark on a long up-and-down journey that has finally garnered traction within the last few months after a prolific string of three albums that have led up to the June release of Well Dude Here’s My Thing that has changed his life, but not his outfit.
