In this interview, Arshan sat down for some coffee and conversation with PinkPantheress – possibly our most requested guest of all time – at FUGAZI’s le gaz café during her brief visit to New York City. The English singer, songwriter, and record producer discussed her musical journey, but more than that, her personal growth overall, after gaining immense notoriety and receiving some of the biggest accolades in the industry during the past few years. Drawing from various influences, such as pop-punk, K-pop, and UK dance music, her music blends elements of disco, garage, house, lo-fi, neo-soul, pop, and R&B as her sound continues to evolve along with her audience. PinkPantheress has gone from producing on GarageBand to receiving Billboard’s Women in Music Producer of the Year Award and finding her voice and audience in her own right charting on Billboard’s Top 5 alongside Ice Spice with their legendary track “Boy’s A Liar 2” that exploded following her 2021 rise on TikTok where her prolific streak of singles like "Pain," "Break It Off," "Passion," and "Just for Me" that went viral and set the tone for her immense success since. Most recently she released her 2023 album ‘Heaven Knows’ and single “Turn It Up” which scored her Capable of Love tour.
