When moving our fish there's always worry about stress and death. Just recently I had to move a number of South American Cichlids to their new home, a bigger tank custom built by Glasscages. Here are the steps I followed to successfully move the fish, and the decor, over over to the new tank without killing or over-stressing them.

Do you need to move fish from one tank to another? Watch this for some tips on how to do it in a way that will not be too much stress on your fish, reducing the chances of fish death after the move.

Have you upgraded to a larger tank and had to move the stock over? What steps did you take to ensure a smooth transfer from one tank to the other? Share you experience in the comments below because we all learn from each other around here.

Remember, keeping fish is a fluid situation and what works for one person might not work for you. Do lots of research before taking any major steps with your fish and tanks.

Never forget these two things:
1. Always be learning!
2. You Rock my Friend!!!
