Relationship Problems: Empathic Communication Can't Solve Them All

Empathy, connection, and emotional intelligence are essential to having health relationships and a happy life. But some people (e.g., narcissists, sociopaths) have deep-seated problems that make them very difficult if not impossible to deal with, and some situations simply cannot be dealt with by more communication.

What can we do in these situations?
