Law and Mental Health: Implementation of dimensional personality assessment in criminal-legal settings: Practical suggestions and problems -Jared Ruchensky, PhD

Dr. Ruchensky completed his doctoral studies at Texas A&M University and his pre-doctoral clinical internship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University. His primary research interests focus on the assessment of personality pathology, including the Alternative Model for Personality Disorders (AMPD), and commonly used instruments, particularly the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI).

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the research base of the Alternative Model for Personality Disorders (AMPD).
2. Assess gaps in the literature for AMPD specifically relevant for forensic clinicians.
3. Analyze practical concerns and strategies when using the AMPD in criminal-legal settings.
