Widdop Moor and Gorple Reservoirs, Calderdale, West Yorkshire

A pleasant scenic circular hike of lower and upper Gorple Reservoirs, followed by a challenging ascent up to open parts of Widdop Moor. The ascent was around 870ft crossing parts of the Pennine Way. Some turbulent winds up on top easing off when returning down to Widdop Reservoir and Gorples Reservoir. (Some interesting demonstration of how not to rock scramble.)

There's a small carpark off Ridhaigh Lane approached by the A646 which has narrow hairpin bends.
