Ramsden Wood Clough, Walsden, Calderdale

After weeks of torrential rain, we finally squeezed a walk before the return of more rain. Our walk started off road just opposite Gordon Rigg Walsden Todmorden. There was a slow gradually continuous ascent up throughout most of the first part of the walk, including a stretch along a brook with quite a vertical drop on one side. Unfortunately, just before Ruff Hill, near the wind turbines on top, our route became churned up by motorcycles, which destroyed footpaths, but once on top, panoramic views greeted us before descending back into Walsden.
