The most important factor that contributes to success in agriculture is fertility of soil. That can be effected in a cost-effective and Nature-friendly manner by leaving a portion of one’s land untilled, and permitting earthworms to make their burrows. Their castings will improve the fertility of the soil, provide aeration, permit tiny channels for water to drain into the soil, and improve one’s harvest.
