Trekking means a traveling experience with thrilling excitement. The Goechala trek is one of the best treks in the Himalayas taking you through the stunning and diverse Kanchenjunga National Park in the heart of Sikkim. The trek displays the best of North-East and takes you closer to the Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. Here you can see a total of 14 big summits. One of the biggest highlights of the Goechala trek is the sunrise scene in the Kanchenjunga range. On the first day of trekking, you walk around 17 km from Yuksum to Tshoka and reach an altitude of 9000 ft. There you get a great view of Peiling village. You can see the views at Dzongri top which is at an altitude of 4200 meters. The Samiti lake is another big attraction of the Goechala trek.

Goechala trek is considered as Moderate-difficult level trek. You need to be mentally as well as physically prepared before this trek. During the trek, you face ascents and descents on the same day. You can learn a little about the behavior of the human body at high altitudes. Fitness is essential. Adventure sports club IITK helps campus Janta to explore mountains. We start physical workout before 45 days of trek and make people mentally strong. Our Mantra is- "Never give up, push your limits, and break the mental barriers."

“We dare, we persevere, we conquer — not the mountains but ourselves !”
