My Negative Experience with Turo (Part 2)

This is a part 2 to my first video, "My Negative Experience with Turo."

Turo is a car renting platform that allows host to rent out their vehicles. Some of my family rented a Turo vehicle, and the front driver side tired shredded after two to three hours of driving. Discount Tire confirmed all four tires were not road safe. This means that we were rented an unsafe vehicle.

Turo had the vehicle towed back to the host, but now the host is claiming damage done to the vehicle. Turo has confirm that the reported damage is that the key was not returned with the vehicle. My family has photos of the Turo tow truck driver in possession of the vehicle, meaning that the driver had the key. We are currently disputing the damage claim.

Be aware that Turo does not seem to have any regulations for hosts to maintain their vehicle. You may rent a car from a host who has not maintained the tires, brakes, etc.
