Vanadurgai amman hill temple is located in peak of the Pakkam hills reserved forest, Devathanapettai, Vilupuram district. The main deity is Vana durga. There is no temple men to do pooja but the pilgrimage has to do on their own. Full moon day is the special occasion of this temple crowded with devotees. The temple is little hard to reach as you have to trek at least 2 hours over hard rocks to reach the top. Carry as many water bottles and food. A very lovely natural view when you reach the top. Devotess can stay on the hill overnight but has to made necessary food arrangements . Cooking facilities available in the top. Monkeys around the top hill keep feed them. A very heavenly place and must visit.

The life story of Vanadurgai Amman is still dramatized in village festivals. This is also depicted as one of Lord Shiva's Thiruvilaiyadal.
