✍ One of our favorite creatures in the Horror genre is the ravenous slimy amorphous blobs. With precedents in the Pulp literature such as the terrifying Shoggoths of H.P. Lovecraft's stories, the unstoppable mucilage of Joseph Payne Brennan's "Slime" or the hungry protoplasm of Donald Wandrei's "Giant Plasm", the voracious blobs had their boom in cinema in the late 50s, and a glorious revival in the late 80s.
