Finally after a lot of planning and putting in the work to get my new business venture off the ground... things are kicking off, with the 1st edition of the 'Cycle in Paradise" adventures. This trip was 5 days in total... with 3 main days of cycling and a shorter shakedown ride on the first day. I took a crew of 3 Scottish legends around to my favourite places to ride, travelling to different locations each day... we also got to enjoy a lot of delicious food from various cuisines and of course got to do a fair bit of sight seeing too. This isn't your average cycling holiday... this is an experience.

"If you're looking for a cycling adventure that feels like a dream, then 'Cycling in Paradise' with Thomas Martinez, a.k.a. The Cycling Tattooist on YouTube, is something you absolutely can't miss! Over four epic days in sunny Portugal, I had the incredible honour of being part of Thomas’s inaugural ride through the stunning landscapes, and I can’t stop raving about it.
First off, the cycling itself was nothing short of amazing. The climbs were tough and challenging, but the sense of accomplishment at the top of each mountain was worth every pedal stroke. The warm weather and beautiful sunny skies only added to the experience. Whether we were riding along the coast or winding through hills, the views never disappointed. It’s hard to capture in words just how breathtaking the scenery was—you have to see it to believe it!
But this event wasn’t just about cycling. It was an experience that felt like stepping into one of Thomas’s YouTube videos. If you’re a subscriber, you already know how much effort and dedication Thomas puts into his training. Being there, riding alongside him, and soaking in his positive energy was next-level awesome. He was the perfect guide, effortlessly managing the group with riders of all abilities, and making sure everyone felt included and supported.
Thomas had everything down to a science—airport pick-up and drop-off, an incredible hotel with sea views, and an amazing breakfast every morning (a must for fuelling up before those intense rides). The little town we stayed in was postcard-perfect, and each evening we’d go out for a meal and chat about the day’s adventures, which just added to the overall vibe. Thomas even gifted us custom bags, t-shirts, Haribo, and a personal thank-you card. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel extra special.
And let’s not forget about the fuelling—Thomas hooked us up with his sponsor’s products, which were exactly what we needed to power through those tough rides. Every detail was taken care of, and you could tell Thomas had put so much thought into crafting a truly unforgettable experience. This wasn’t just a cycling holiday—it was an adventure of a lifetime. Thomas shared his love for Portugal and cycling with us in a way that felt genuine and heartfelt, like he was showing us his little slice of paradise.
I think I speak for the whole group when I say we were absolutely blown away. From the views to the rides to Thomas's hospitality, this was hands-down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
