Somalia - US & Italian Troops Arrive In Mogadishu

An advance party of US. and Italian troops arrived on the beach
off Mogadishu in Somalia on Monday (27/2) to help the remaining
2,400 Pakistani and Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers withdraw from
the war-torn country. About 2,000 American and Italian Marines
will go ashore in the next few days. As the mission nears its end, there are fears that the clan fighting will escalate.
