Becca Poindexter is an Engineering Director at Mozarc Medical, a small company dedicated to transforming kidney care that spun off from Medtronic in 2023. She leads a team at Mozarc that is responsible for product labeling, packaging, and usability and holds the distinction of Technical Fellow in recognition of her technical expertise and leadership.

Before her current role, Becca held various positions within Medtronic’s Renal Care and Cardiac Rhythm Management teams. She served as the Program Director for a 100+ person team and multi-million dollar dialysis project, led the U.S. commercialization of the first pediatric acute dialysis device  Carpediem, established the group’s Cybersecurity program, established the group’s Women in Science and Engineering initiative, and played a key role in creating and expanding the software capabilities in the Medtronic/Mozarc India Development Center in Bangalore, India. She was a systems engineer on multiple cardiac research projects, taking leading roles and supporting organizational change.

Becca is known for her genuine, empathetic, collaborative approach and is a relationship builder. She is often sought after for mentoring and coaching and thrives best when creating a new path in uncharted waters. She holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, and has numerous patents. She has held numerous board leadership positions for the local MIT Alumni club of MN and served on the board of trustees for Westover School, an all-girls high school in Connecticut.

Becca lives in Minnesota with her husband, Gavin, and two strong willed and curious children, Delilah (6) and Azariah (4). She enjoys spending time with friends and exploring new places.
