Overexcited BMWs tear up Donington Park | 23 March 2024

A frantic start to the 2024 season with 40 cars on a mixed up grid at Donington Park on the National Circuit. The season opener is always a fraught affair. Take a bunch of over excited racing drivers who have been cooped up over the winter, some of the fastest cars in UK club racing, then add rain and a qualifying session dogged by crashes, red flags and 48 cars trying to get a lap time. We're starting down in 6th with a lap time 1.5 seconds off our best in testing the day before. The track's wet but drying and everyone's pretty rusty after a winter off hiding from the cold.
